Hello, lovely to e-meet you!

Empowering Fraser Coast Through Strong Leadership: My Vision as Your Councillor

I humbly present myself as a candidate for the Fraser Coast Regional Councillor (Division 6) position, committed to utilising my diverse experience and values to lead our community towards unity and prosperity.

With over two decades in early childhood education and care (ECEC), I bring leadership and community collaboration expertise. From educator to operations management, I've excelled in motivating teams, setting high standards, and achieving exceptional outcomes. I've transformed struggling centres into excellence models, exceeding national quality standards and reviving occupancy rates.

This foundation of leadership and transformation has permeated various industries as well. I have guided entrepreneurs in devising robust business plans, adhering to Australian regulations, and fostering growth across sectors such as real estate, coaching, speakers and construction. Through mentorship, strategic planning, and marketing guidance, I have championed their endeavours, propelling them to thrive.

let's move forward together

My dedication to mental health advocacy is unwavering.  Collaborating with BeYou, a part of Beyond Blue, United Voice, and other organisations, I've championed those facing unfair working conditions and mental health struggles. Having personally triumphed over adversity, including escaping domestic violence and navigating personal tragedies, I am unyielding in my commitment to empower individuals to realise their strength and worthiness.

Beyond business, I've championed women's causes as the former President of QCWA and a Zonta International advocate. I've driven change in local non-profits like Myriam Cottage (current President) and Bayside Transformations (Mentor). My connections within Fraser Coast enable me to collaborate effectively.

I am no stranger to education either, consistently conducting workshops, mentorship programs, and learning endeavours. My journey is underpinned by a variety of qualifications which equips me with innovative approaches to problem-solving and growth.

Aligned with Fraser Coast Regional Council's values—Trust, Respect, Accountability, Initiative, Teamwork, and Service—my vision resonates with its corporate action plan. I'm committed to fostering a community where these values guide our path. I'm determined to empower Fraser Coast through:

Building Stronger Communities

My extensive experience in leadership, education, and community service uniquely positions me to lead the charge in bringing together diverse communities. By leveraging my skills in motivating teams and setting high standards, I aim to create an inclusive and vibrant Fraser Coast where each voice is heard, valued, and contributes to our shared prosperity.

Keeping Our Community Safe

Having overcome personal challenges, including domestic violence, I am intimately aware of the importance of keeping our community safe. Collaborating with non-profit organisations and leveraging my mental health advocacy, I am committed to ensuring that our region is a haven for everyone, free from harm and fear.

Strengthening Our Economy

Guiding businesses strategically and managing finances, I'll fuel local growth. Lifelong learning ensures innovative solutions for Fraser Coast's economic prosperity.

Protecting Our Environment

I am dedicated to preserving our region's natural beauty. My advocacy for environmental responsibility will ensure that we continue to enjoy a sustainable, thriving environment.

As your Fraser Coast Regional Councillor (Division 6), I pledge to align my journey, values, and expertise with the corporate action plan of the Fraser Coast Regional Council.

Let's move forward together, creating a united community that thrives on trust, respect, accountability, initiative, teamwork, and service.
